How to personalize cold email with AI

Set up your Outreach Profile, find buying intent with Signals and Buying Intent, draft emails with AI and ask Marielle for help, so every email reads as researched.

Generic cold emails get ignored. Swyftreach gives you several AI tools that work together to make each email specific to the person reading it.

1. Fill in your Outreach Profile

Outreach Profile is where you define who you target and what you offer: your services and the personas you sell to. Swyftreach uses it to power AI-personalized outreach, so time spent here improves every draft you generate. Revisit it whenever your positioning or ideal customer changes.

2. Find buying intent with Signals and Buying Intent

Open Signals and Buying Intent and pick one of your contact lists. Every company in it is listed, grouped by your contacts' work email domains (or their website, for Gmail and other personal addresses). Click Find buying intent on a company, or select several, and Swyftreach searches the web for the signals that matter to what you sell, then scores the company against your Outreach Profile:

  • Fit: how well the company matches your personas' industries, company sizes and job titles
  • Intent: recent, dated signals such as hiring for relevant roles, a new leader, a funding round or public pain points, weighted by how recent and how relevant they are
  • A tier (Hot, Warm, Cold or Not a fit), why now, and a suggested opening angle
  • Company research: news, funding, key people, tech stack and the sources behind them

Signals we look for is built from your Outreach Profile and rebuilt when the profile changes. Switch signals off or add your own. Companies you've already scored are marked out of date, and re-scoring them is free.

To score a company that isn't in any of your lists, use Add company and enter its website. It appears under Added manually in the list picker. Each company researched uses one credit from your monthly allowance: 25 on Growth and 200 on Growth Plus. No credit is used when a company has too little public information. The credit meter on the page shows how many you have left.

3. Draft with the AI Email Writer and Templates

When you write a sequence step or a template, generate a draft with AI instead of starting from a blank page, then edit it until it sounds like you. Save emails that perform well to Templates so you can reuse them across campaigns.

4. Personalize every contact

  • {{firstName}}, {{lastName}} and {{company}} fill in from your contact list.
  • {{personalizedHook}} inserts a one-line opener unique to each contact. Add it as a column (Icebreaker, Hook or Opener all work) when you import your CSV. A why-now line or angle from Signals and Buying Intent makes a strong hook.
  • {{signature}} adds the sending account's signature.

5. Ask Marielle

Marielle is the AI assistant built into Swyftreach. Ask her how to set something up, why a campaign isn't sending, or for feedback on a sequence. She knows the platform inside out.
